How will mulch help your garden?

Mulch your garden to retain moisture, suppress weed growth and to assist in keeping the soil temperature down. A layer of mulch at least 5-7cm helps to retain moisture in the soil by preventing evaporation through heat and drying winds. Studies have shown that mulching to a depth of 15-30cm may reduce the amount of water evaporation from the surface by up to 50%. Deeper mulches are still more effective. There is no jamming or clogging thanks to the Piecemaker’s patented macerator blades and impellor vacuum action which ejects chips at 200 kms per hour. The macerator blades revolve around the Piecemaker central shaft stopping any possible tangling of vine or stringy material around the shaft.
